Webster’s biggest music event is back with a fresh infusion of diverse styles and exciting new acts. The Old Webster Jazz and Blues Festival is pleased to announce a new and eclectic lineup for this year’s performance.
This is the festival’s 14th consecutive year and will be held on September 20, 2014.
“Seeing jazz and blues acts in a party atmosphere like our festival gives audiences a new appreciation for the power of these classic American styles. While such traditional music is the true spirit of the festival, some of this year’s acts have influences ranging from rock to funk to R&B,” said Terry Perkins, musical director.
The Old Webster Jazz & Blues Festival is held in the heart of downtown Webster Groves, surrounded by historic buildings and locally-owned restaurants and shops. Passing trains provide a backdrop of percussive rhythm while the buildings give an acoustic boost.
The festival consistently books the best local jazz and blues acts and - with the recent addition of more acts that blend different styles - it’s not hard to see how this event attracts over 12,000 music fans annually.
Live music will be played throughout the day on the festival’s two performance stages.
